The public is invited to an opening for "Stories Fading Fast: Capturing the Remnants of the Alaska Gold Rush" on Friday, Aug. 4, from 5-7 p.m. The series of photographs by Lazarus, an adjunct instructor of photography at the University of Alaska Fairbanks College of Liberal Arts, documents the abandoned mines, dredges and Gold Rush communities of Alaska.
