Telescopic belt conveyors in the coal industry. [USSR]

The paper describes telescopic belt conveyors used in underground coal mines in the USSR: the 1LT-80, 2LT-80, 1LT-100, 2LT-100 and the 1LTP-80. The conveyors are equipped with a system which stabilizes belt tension regardless of changing belt length. The 1LT-80 conveyor with maximum length of 500 m is driven by a 40 kW motor.
