The fan belt and power steering belt sit beside the cover which houses the timing belt and water pump, so you'll need to remove them first. Follow the steps below to remove the belts: Loosen the bolts which hold the alternator in position. Then tap it gently to loosen the fan belt so you can remove it.

Aggressive riding during the break-in period. The new belt needs to "seat" or wear-in to the clutch faces in order to be able to best grip the clutches and not slip. If you put a new belt on and immediately ride aggressively it is going to slip and create a lot of heat, thus greatly shortening the life of the belt.

Be prepared and have your 5mm hex key handy. Working from inside the wheel well, place the 14mm wrench or socket onto the tensioner bolt. Rotate the bolt counter-clockwise towards the front of the car. While holding it rotated, slide the 5mm hex key into the hole below it to lock it into place. Remove the wrench and remove the serpentine belt.

Step 2 - Replace the riding mower deck belt. Remove the belt keeper rod and remove the deck belt from around the mower's engine pulley. Here is the rest of the timing belt replacement procedure. 1. Make sure all of the aligning marks are lined up. 2. Manual says to remove all of the spark plugs at this point. It sounds like there might be a few ways to change the belt. The easiest one might be to remove driver sheave, loop the new belt on, and then arrange some way to pull/pry the driver sheave back onto the shaft. Also maybe one of the component hold-down bolts can be removed to allow moving one machine closer to the other for looping the belts on.
